Social Media’s Role in Our Daily Lives

I don’t know about you, but when I’m faced with decisions about which restaurant to hit for dinner, which service contractor to call to fix our leaky pipe, or general parenting tips, etc., I turn to Facebook. There’s nothing easier or more robust than tapping into the opinions of several hundred people when it comes to various questions that arise during our daily lives.
In addition to this self-conducted research on Facebook, social media is also shaping consumers’ TV habits, from learning about new TV shows, finding out when their favorite TV shows will be airing, or opening up dialogue about the shows’ storylines.
